China Camp State ParkChina Camp is an experiential bargain: There are 22 miles of scenic trails within the 1,640 acres of park land, one of the most beautiful stretches of Bay Area marsh land and a rich slice of California history. Since 1972, when the park was opened, China Camp has preserved a piece of local history that is often forgotten. Located on the north shores of San Francisco Bay, China Camp is a place to spend a day exploring trails by foot, bike or horse, relaxing at one of the meticulously maintained picnic areas or learning about the historical Chinese shrimping industry.
