Dear Glenwood Resident,
Welcome
to the June edition of the Glenwood eNewsletter from the Glenwood
Homeowners' Association.
Although
we had good attendance from about 30 residents at the GHA Board
meeting in May when we had a visit by the San Rafael Police
Department, here's the writeup in case you missed
it!
Other
things you can find in this newsletter include: date for Music in the
Park event, sign your kids up for summer jobs on our Youth Job
listing site, learn how to pay GHA dues online, notice about
renovation of intersection by Montecito Plaza, GHA recruiting CERT
volunteers and a few things more...
...oh,
and don't forget to celebrate Father's day on Sunday 21st!
Glenwood
Homeowners' Association
PS:
Your email is on file in our database either because you have signed
up via our glenwood94901.org website or provided it when paying
membership dues in the past. Should you for some reason not want to

Youth Job Listing
It's summer and many of our youngsters will have spare
time on their hands. Why not sign them up on the Glenwood Youth Job List
for a chance to help other Glenwood Residents walk their dogs, baby
sit, water plants in the garden, etc. and help them boost their
weekly allowances?

Renovation of the intersection of Union and
Third Streets
The renovation of the intersection
by Monticito Shopping Center has begun. A full description of
the project can be found on the City of San Rafael, Public Works website. At this point detours have not been designed because it may
require the installation of signals for emerging traffic from
the hills above San Rafael High School onto Pt. San Pedro Road. The
work is expected to be completed by the end of October.

GHA Membership Dues
Thank you for supporting the
Glenwood Homeowners' Association. Our association benefits the
Glenwood, Peacock Crest and Seaview subdivisions.
All
the dues collected in the past have been either put into our savings
account for future projects or spent on projects that enhance and
benefit our community such as the entrance sign maintenance and
lighting, median beautification, community outreach, the Wildland
Urban Interface Ordinance and annual activities to benefit our
neighborhood.
We
are requesting that each household contribute $25.00
to our Association. As a homeowner or resident you will
have received a letter in the mail reminding you of the
annual due. Rather than sending a check to the GHA, you can now pay
with either credit card or your PayPal account online. Go here to make your online
payment. We appreciate your support!

Have you taken CERT classes?

The Glenwood Homeowners' Association is interested
in persons who have taken CERT classes (Community Emergency Response
Team) to put together a Distaster Preparadness Committee for our
neighborhood. They will identify the locations in our neighborhood
that are at most risk, setting up a couple of meeting locations for
different disasters (fire, earthquake), and preparing caches of
emergency supplies. If you are interested contact us through our web
site.
